Vincent Centeno

 

Vincent has worked as Faith's musician since 2012 and has brought a weatlh of talent and expertise to his role.  

Vincent's professional credits include guest conductor for the Astoria Music Festival Orchestra and accompanist for the Astoria Music Festival Apprentice Artist Program, conductor/music director for Genesis Opera of Chicago, and music director of the Philippine Performing Arts Chorus of Chicago where his Choral Overture to San Lorenzo for Chorus and Two Pianos was premiered.

As Graduate Teaching Fellow of the UO Symphony, Vincent conducted movements from Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Ibert’s Flute Concerto, and Prism Rhapsody for Marimba and Orchestra by contemporary Japanese composer, Keiko Abe. He also prepared the orchestra for guest conductors including David Hattner (Portland Youth Philharmonic) and Danail Rachev (Eugene Symphony Orchestra) featuring Piston’s Symphony No. 2, Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, Márquez’s Danzón No. 2, and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms.

 

Sunday Musicians

Faith hosts professional musicians on the first Sunday of the month.  We invite you to these services at 10:30 to enjoy this wonderful music and consider the beauty of God's presense in the world.

 

Sunday Concert Series

Faith is a partner with St. Helen Catholic Church and Junction City United Methodist Church in the Junction City Arts Council which presents a concert every month between September and May.  Every concert is on the 3rd Sunday at 3:30 PM.  For more information visit the Junction City Arts Council website.
